UNDERSTANDING THE NDIS

Understanding the NDIS terms and conditions, wording and jargon can seem daunting and confusing, which is where Outwest Care comes in.

Here at Outwest Care we help guide you through the process of NDIS forms and paperwork, making it easier for you to understand not only the process but also the benefits of NDIS support.

NDIS

NDIS stands for the National Disability Insurance Scheme and delivers support and funding for people with disabilities.

The NDIS can provide all people with disability with information and connections to services in their communities such as doctors, sporting clubs, support groups, libraries and schools, as well as information about what support is provided by each state and territory government.

People with disabilities now have the support to live their lives they want with funding to meet their needs, goals and aspirations.

Planner

Once you have received confirmation that you now qualify for NDIS support, our planners will help you with all of your accessibility to your NDIS plan.

It's important to provide them with as much information as possible about your situation, goals and needs so you can get the support you need.

Reasonable and necessary support

Anything related to your disability is classified as a reasonable and necessary support.

From mobility equipment, transportation, daily tasks such as grocery shopping, education to just getting out of the house and participating in social activities.

If you're unsure of what you need falls into the reasonable and necessary support category, contact your Outwest Care planner.
